Editorial & Monetization

Advertising & Sponsorship Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026. Our commitment to maintaining computational integrity, transparent advertising standards, and uncompromised mathematical rigor.

Purpose

1. Mission & Monetization Overview

Why advertising is being prepared for DudeMath.

DudeMath is an open-access scientific and engineering computation suite built to provide students, researchers, and engineers with instant, client-side calculation engines without paywalls or subscriptions.

To cover essential recurring infrastructure expenses—including domain registration, global CDN edge hosting, automated test pipelines, and continuous formula documentation—DudeMath is currently applying for participation in the Google AdSense publisher network.

Independence

2. Strict Mathematical & Editorial Independence

Zero commercial interference with formulas and educational content.

Formula Objectivity & Independence: Commercial advertisers and ad networks have no influence over our calculation algorithms, mathematical proofs, unit conversion logic, or educational guide explanations.

  • DudeMath calculations are based on established mathematical and scientific equations and, where applicable, documented engineering references. Individual calculator pages identify the references used for their formulas and assumptions.
  • No commercial entity can pay to influence numerical results, bias formula recommendations, or alter calculation steps.
  • Advertisements, once active, will be clearly demarcated from educational workbench tools and calculation cards by designated containers and disclosure labels.

Quality Standards

3. User Experience & Ad Placement Principles

Respecting user workflow and Core Web Vitals performance.

We adhere strictly to the Coalition for Better Ads standards and Google Publisher Policies:

  • No Obtrusive Pop-ups: We do not deploy full-screen modals, sticky overlays that block calculation inputs, or auto-playing video/audio ads.
  • No Deceptive Placements: Ad slots are strictly separated from calculator input fields, action buttons (e.g., Calculate, Copy, Share), and formula references.
  • Performance First: Where advertising scripts are enabled, DudeMath intends to use non-blocking loading practices where technically appropriate to minimize their impact on calculator interaction and page performance.

Feedback

4. Reporting Inappropriate Advertisements

Direct contact channel for ad compliance inquiries.

If you encounter an advertisement that violates academic standards, promotes misleading technical claims, or obstructs calculator usability, please report it via our Contact Page. Offending ad categories will be promptly investigated and blocked via our Google AdSense dashboard.
